Integration
Your tasks in Google Calendar.
Dated tasks show up in Google Calendar, and your Google Calendar events show up next to your tasks in thisflow.
Settings → Calendar
What you can do with it.
Tasks as events
Tasks with a due date appear in Google Calendar: all-day, or at their time for their planned length. Repeating tasks show their coming dates too.
Your events in thisflow
Add your calendar's secret iCal address and its events show as grey busy blocks in the calendar views and in Plan your day.
Keeps itself up to date
Google Calendar reads the link again by itself, so new, moved and finished tasks follow. Nothing to export by hand.
Set up
Ready in three steps.
- 01
Get your calendar link
In thisflow, open Settings → Calendar and choose Get calendar link.
- 02
Add it to Google Calendar
Choose Add to Google Calendar. Google Calendar opens with the thisflow calendar ready to add; confirm it.
- 03
Show your events in thisflow
Optional: in Google Calendar, copy Settings → your calendar → Secret address in iCal format, and paste it under Settings → Calendar → Other calendars.
One link, both directions.
The Calendar section in Settings gives you a private link and a button for each calendar app. Below it, the calendars you show in thisflow are listed with when they were last read.
Permissions and security
What flows, and what stays.
What flows
Out: your open tasks with a due date that are assigned to you, or that you created with nobody assigned, from 60 days back to a year ahead, each with its title, note, project and a link back. In: the events of calendars you add, read-only.
What is stored
thisflow never signs in to your Google account. Your calendar link is stored hashed and encrypted. A calendar address you add is stored encrypted and never sent back to the browser, and its events are not saved in the database.
How to revoke
Choose New link or Turn off in Settings → Calendar and the old link stops working at once. Remove another calendar in Settings, or reset the secret address in Google Calendar.
