The assistant reads Today, Upcoming, Overdue, Inbox, Someday or one project, and searches titles, notes and comments.
Add and change tasks
It creates tasks read like quick add, changes dates, priorities and sections, completes tasks and adds comments.
Tidy up in one go
Ask it to move everything overdue to today, and it does so in a single step.

Set up

Create a token
In Settings → API, name the token, for example “Claude on my laptop”, and choose Create token. Copy it now: it is shown only once.

Add the server
In your assistant, add a remote MCP server with the URL https://app.thisflow.com/api/mcp and the header Authorization: Bearer followed by your token.

Ask in plain words
Ask about your tasks the way you would ask a colleague. The assistant uses thisflow's tools to answer and to make changes.

Eight tools cover reading and changing tasks. The ones that only read are marked as such, so an assistant can ask you before it changes anything.

Permissions and security

What flows
Only what is asked for: projects, tasks with their subtasks and comments, and the changes that are made. A token sees exactly what you can see in thisflow.
What is stored
A hash of the token, its name and when it was last used: the token itself is shown once and cannot be read back. It has your roles, so on a project where you are a viewer it cannot edit.
How to revoke
Choose Revoke next to the token in Settings → API. Anything that uses it stops working at once. Deleting your account removes your tokens too.
