Quick add
Type it the way you think it.
One line becomes a task. Quick add reads dates, times, repeats, projects, tags and people, in English and Swedish.

Every example on this page is read by thisflow's own quick add, as if today were Monday 19 October 2026.
Both languages, always
English and Swedish in the same list, whatever language the app is in.
Nothing is required
No form and no required field. A task without a project lands in your Inbox.
See it before Enter
Every part it reads shows as a chip under the field, so nothing is a surprise.
Dates, the way you say them.
Weekdays, relative days, “next week”, “end of month”, “in two weeks” and written dates. A weekday name is never today, and a date without a year is the next time it comes round. “15:00”, “at 9am”, “tonight at 8”, “tomorrow afternoon”, a range like “14:00-15:30”, or “for 30m”. A time without a date is for today, and the length is what the task gets in the calendar.

More of what it reads.
“starts friday” hides a task until that day. “someday” parks it in Someday, out of Today and Upcoming. Quick add only takes what it is sure of. Quoted text is never read, numbers need a colon or “at” to be a time, and “weekly report” is a title, not a repeat.

Small rules that keep titles safe.
- Text in double quotes is never read.
- Short weekday names that are also words (sun, sat, wed) are a date only after “on”, “next” or “this”, or at the end of the line.
- Only one due date is read. A second date stays in the title.
- A #name that matches no project stays in the title and shows a warning chip, so the task never lands somewhere you did not expect.
- URLs and email addresses are left alone.
One grammar, everywhere you type.
Quick add and the phone
The field at the top of every list, and the sheet behind the + on the phone. It takes the defaults of the view you are in.
The board
The add field at the bottom of a column puts the task in that column.
Text to tasks
Paste meeting notes or an email. Each task it finds is shown as quick add reads it before anything is added.
Voice
Speak a task where the browser supports it; the words go through the same quick add.
Email
The subject of an email to your private thisflow address is read like quick add. The text becomes the note.
Slack
Type /thisflow and a task in any channel, and it lands in your Inbox.
Works with your inbox and chat.
The same line works outside the app too.
Slack
/thisflow, save a message as a task, mentions as DMs
Email to task
Forward from Gmail or Outlook to your private address

Questions about quick add
Which languages does quick add understand?
English and Swedish, always both, whatever language the app is set to. You can write “tomorrow 3pm” and “imorgon kl 15” in the same list.
Where can I use quick add?
In the quick add field and the new task sheet on the phone, in a board column's add field, in Text to tasks, in the subject of an email to your thisflow address, with /thisflow in Slack, and through the MCP server for AI assistants. All of them read a line the same way.
What if quick add reads a word I meant as text?
Everything it recognises shows as a chip under the field before you press Enter, so you see what will happen. Text in double quotes is never read: Watch "Tomorrow never dies" tomorrow is a film, due tomorrow.
Try it with your next task.
Create an account and type the first thing on your mind. No required fields.
